the Post-Office Mural

In 2014 I was commissioned to paint the wall of the Bangalow post-office (NSW, Australia). I was given total freedom to paint what I wanted and so I went for a metamorphosis. The wall I painted belonged to a structure that extended out of one of the oldest building in town: a brick three-stories structure, built in the late 1800.

The mural painting is an exploration of the original building material - bricks-argilla -, the original landscape of Bangalow and its natural treasures. It is meant to raise awareness on architecture and environment, the nature of building materials, as well as on the natural wealth of aboriginal plants and animals.
